FOCC need your help to gain charity cash for Newgate Gap shelter repairs

FOCC

Friends of Cliftonville Coastline are one of the groups in the Ramsgate Waitrose “Community Matters” charity token scheme.

Shoppers put their token in the box of the project they want to support. The more tokens a cause gets, the bigger the donation they receive. Each month Waitrose donates £1,000 (£500 in convenience shops) between three local good causes.

The group will be in the token scheme throughout December in Ramsgate, so please support FOCC in their bid.

The GRASS community group will be hosting an open meeting for #Cliftonville residents and businesses to discuss #CliftonvilleGames 2019. We would love to meet you at the Belle Vue function room as this will be a brilliant opportunity for people to share ideas and discuss how we can make the event even better.

Directly before the Cliftonville Games meeting, at 6:00pm, we will be discussing Cliftonville in Bloom 2019. Please see our separate Facebook event for details.

GRASS SUCCESS at “Stronger Kent Community Fair”

The BIG competition is on!

At the end of April we held our launch event at the Cliftonville Farmers’ Market and, despite the chilly weather, it was a resounding success. A BIG thank you to those hardy Cliftonville residents who popped along to say hello and to sign up for the competition, many of whom I know were thrilled to receive some FREE plants to go in their garden! Please read on for further news about more free plants and discounts for ALL competition entrants….

Free plants for YOU!

We’ve replanted all the leftover plug plants from our launch event (donated by Bunnings & B&Q), so we’ll grow these on for another week to get them established and then give them away. If any entrants would like to receive some of these FREE plants please email us by Friday 18th May and we’ll arrange to get them to you ct9inbloom@grasscliftonville.org

20% plant discount!

Liz from The Secret Garden Florist has very kindly offered a 20% discount on all in-person purchases of outdoor plants from her fantastic shop at 174 Northdown Road in Cliftonville. All entrants will be receiving a discount card through their door very soon!

Free compost!

If you pop along to The Garden Gate Project at Northdown Park Road, CT9 3TP and mention Cliftonville in Bloom, you can make up a few of your own bags of compost. This is ideal for the bottom of pots and planters to encourage your plants to grow!
